Reminds me of the fond memory that we have of taking a taxi to the airport in Bucharesti after our week’s visit to Romania. The driver, thankfully being confined to a flat rate fare through our hotel, seemed to us “lost” at first as he drove us around many of the streets of the city as the sun was rising.
Because of his lack of speaking English and our non-existent skills of speaking Romanian, we had no idea that he was proudly taking us on a sight-seeing tour of many areas in the city. Not only did he get us to the airport on time, but we got to see much of the city and the astounding amount of re-building and regeneration throughout. It was a great experience.
