While the Bulgarians have some cultural fear of wind, it is far less pronounced. And the fears of wind in Western Asia are mostly a remnant of history. In my experience, it is only Romania which has a widespread and active fear of curentul to the point where doctors in hospitals --today-- explain to patients that the wind is the cause of the medical problems.
