I loaded Feisty, migrated from Outlook to Evolution and am happy. One needs to be a power user to make the change.

The GUI is so good that once installed on a box, it can be used with almost no transition by anybody.

For people that need to use Scientific software (math symbols, heavy graphing, simulations) there's a lot a good free stuff.

Of course, there cd and dvd ripping and burning, htm editors.

And all these can be installed in a windows like fashion.

Go Ubuntu!

mon ami - Getting in line to buy one? If I were in the market for a US computer, I'd certainly pick up a Dell because it'd be inexpensive, easy and supported. Why waste your time ensnaring yourself in Vista when the largest computer companies offer Ubuntu linux?

Narc - Masochist! Impressive, but masochist!
