Of course, Maurizio. Unfortunately for you, when it comes to this particular blog, you do not have any such right. I would expect an adult to understand that concept.
You’re welcome to post comments here, but I will not tolerate childish trolling. Any such asshattery on your part will continue to be expunged.
You’re welcome to continue making ignorant assumptions, Maurizio. I am glad you have revealed the basis for your previous (and deleted) remarks, because now I understand better what your beef is.
I’ve been to El Barrio –more than once over the past 3 years– and would not classify the food there as ever having been exquisite. Or even close. In any way. At all.
However, you do have Chimay, which is nice. Additionally, I noticed you’ve got some type of latin dancing every now and then, which sounds interesting.
Since you’ve now decided to behave like a rational human, I’ll dispense some free advice for you. Presuming, of course, that you actually have anything whatsoever to do with El Barrio as you claim.
When you encounter direct customer feedback which is negative, you should think twice before acting like some violent child, spewing forth nonsensical vitrolity, in a public forum where Brasov residents and tourists alike are both readily able to read your comments for years. A wiser course of action would be to offer your sincere apologies for my having multiple unpleasant experiences which you consider to be atypical to what El Barrio intends to create for its’ clientele, such that prospective customers see management cares about customers.
Good luck in your future endeavors and thanks for stopping by.
dear Gerar, i really don’t expect that everyone who comes to el barrio has to like it. you didn’t get the point. by the way,has been two years since we don’t have Chimay.
I’m a journalist working on a travel story about Brasov. I get there this afternoon and would love to meet you to get your take on the city. Would you be free late afternoon/early evening or tomorrow morning? If so, please let me know how to reach you.
Hehe, nice to see Mr. Maurizio standing up for his rights. And for your information, Mr. Romerican, he has rights, much more than you. First of all, you don’t know romanians, I can see from your blog, that is made mostly to criticize the people, culture, personalities from there. And you are definitely not the man who should offer any kind guiding services to any tourist or journalist. Mostly because you and romania are like “baba si mitraliera”.
If you didn’t lived your life there, you are just like Anthony Bourdain, who went to romania, dracula’s castle and get an ukrainian tourist giude, another “romanian guide”……..and than you could hear only complains coming out from his mouth.
Now turning back to our sheeps….As you probably observed, service in restaurants, bars….is not the same like in new york, paris, or any other super populated metropolitan area. The don’t give a flying f… that your nose is wiping the dust from the sealing, and when they see that, than you will have your worst experience, ever. As about Mr. Maurizio, I know him…he is one of best people I ever know, the best friend for who deserves it…. and about the food in his restaurant….you can check personaly, every evening, every afternoon, it is full with addicted patrons…and their are going there for : the food, the friendly service and a hell-of-a-good atmosphere. Now if you have payed any attention, you can guess why you didn’t like the food, il trattoria, or Mr. Maurizio.
PS: I’ve been reading allover this blog of yours…..what are you, because your not romanian that’s for sure, I am not, but still I got used with the life over there, and I understand the people, and I love the people….I am a man from inside the crowd, not from outside!!! Now I moved to NYC, and believe me, I would give this 100% fake “perfect” food and service, for the much more true-friendly one over there.

Welcome to the show. My show, not yours.

I expect an american, fast-food eater by nature, to have tha common sense not to comment the Italian cuisine.
This might be your show but EL BARRIO is mine.
Next time, if you want to learn what exquisite food is come to my show, otherwise Mac Donald’s and KFC are in “Piata Sfatului”.
