Luiza – Craciun fericit! Well, I dare say, ya done caught me with my socks around my ankles. When I blew all that dust off my blog, I must have got a little in my eye because I didn’t see your post until you put my nose in it. On the other hand, I did kinda fill your tag, plus you sorta pre-emptively fulfilled mine… which makes… something of a.. ying yang type… … …excuse.

Bogdan – Sarbatoare fericit! I knew you could be counted on for subversive acts of sedition and anarchy! There’s probably two or seven people who might find a URI handy in order to preview the prowess of the author touted above. But you will need to dive into that tight wallet of yours and find a couple bucks to slap down for your very own copy of Romania. It’s really worth it.

Good book. I’m saying this as someone who hasn’t read it, but who has read a few of Boia’s articles. :-)

There’s also “History and Myth in Romanian Consciousness”, which apparently created quite a shock in Romania when it was published in 1997. I have the “stolen” version (pdf) and I think it’ll be a good read. :-)
