Ha,Ha I have you beat! My power goes out every time the wind blows because my trees are stuck in the electrical line! well, maybe a tie ‘cuz I know how much you like being cold! xoxo LinZ
It snowed for over 48 hours straight, then stuck around a while. Today, nearly all of it has melted away, but that first wave made clear that this winter won’t be like last.
Musculin - Thanks for the happy thoughts, Mr. Sunshine. =P
Monica - Gosh, as a kid I did. Then at some point I was snowboarding a little. I don’t think I’ve been on slopes much in something around 10 years. Poiana is, of course, the darling resort for skiers. I have two friends who are snowboard instructors; they’ve been trying to drag me out… (But if I hit a tree, will I get the Lazarescu treatment?)
AF - Send. Long. Johns. k tnx
Maria - Jolly well, another fine weather report to warm my heart. =P
Mrs. S - I’m not sure what you’re complaining about? Everyone knows you have a penchant for Papa John’s by candlelight because the kids end up going to bed early, which leaves two margarita glasses in need of attention and miles of fun.
On other hand, I won’t bitch. The last apartment may have been gorgeous, but the power dropped a number of times, the phone went out, the water heater broke (think: no radiators in the snow), and so forth. This place, while not quite so fancy, seems to be doing it’s job admirably. Snug as a bug in a rug.
CO - Welcome to the show! Thanks for the various comments, I’m getting around to those. For this photo, it’s in the Astra district… although it does look vaguely similar to the playing field in Bartolomeu.
Shadow - Mmmm, radiators…
Leilouta - Of course, not. As CO pointed it, the snow has since melted. It’ll probably come back with a vengeance soonish. Thanks for stopping by.
Ami - Please send the heatwave by FedEx, so it doesn’t disappear en route. I’d love to get a little more bbq in before Thanksgiving, if you manage to send some.
Stingo - Lies & heresy! (Translation: I like snow, but was a bit surprised to see it blanket the area so early compared to last year’s late start.)
To anyone waiting for the rest of the Targu Mures story, I should finally have time to finish writing that in the next day or two. Then, right after that, I’ve got another tale or two remaining from the 2006 tour. =]
we could always play the ‘my thermometer is uglier than your thermometer’ game :-) I have the current weather on the sidebar of my blog. whenever you want to feel sorry for me, drop by!
don’t worry, spring comes in May….it will be here before you know it!

Snow kicks ass. Whoever doesn’t like it should move to Guyana. +_+

My bad… I could have sworn that’s Bartolomeu. :D My next guess is Cocorului St.
