Octavian- Geez, dude, chill out. The Church is not God, it's made up of humans, and, as such, it has plenty of room to fail and require redemption.

Aside from that, may I point out that this particular post doesn't even bash the Church all that much, it just points out the hypocrisies of a few traditions, all of which are man-made and therefore imperfect. What's the point of even bothering to feel any anger at all when you accept this fact? God is not shaken by it, I'd be sincerely surprised if He really cared about these customs we've all made up to celebrate Him. All He wants, in my opinion, is to be believed in, in whatever form or shape that belief may show itself. The specifics don't matter, just the core. And that core was never threatened at any point.

So relax, will you?

You are an anti Christ and you damn yourself with every word that comes out of your mouth or that you type here against the Church. (Not to mention that what you seem to know about sex shows you as an idiot.) At first I felt anger for you, a dark fury but I saw that there is no point being furious at you. Take vengeace upon you for what? It would be no more logical then taking vengeance on a pig going to slaughter. You've already killed yourself. I feel pity for you. I will pray for you to the God you enjoy cursing so much, through the teachings of the Church you hate so much.

May peace be with you.

Well, I'd certainly rank Canon up there. Nikon and Canon are the Tier 1 giants. Everyone plays second fiddle.

Of course, basically NONE of that matters at all until you're several thousands of dollars invested into lenses...

But for a point and shoot? Whichever brand gives you the most for your money.

Yeah, battery life on a camera phone sometimes isn't too good, particularly if you're using the LCD to view it.

Anyway, most camera phones have lame quality... so, we'll just have to change the idea to drum up some cash for a regular digital camera! (Nikon, of course.)

heh. I just passed through the park and found that on an alley was written "THE BEATLES".

Probably it was written by some teenagers a few decades ago, when The Beatles were hip and the cement was wet. :-) But I have no picture to show you.

The idea about cell-phone is that I'm happy with the battery life of my non-camera phone, which is better than my brother's newer camera phone. :-)

Maybe, Bucuresti is a sign of what's to come. People there may have become a little more savvy about where exactly church ranks in the importance of life.

It's the ignorant and pious (in any religion) that make me nervous. Those folks are far too easily lead around by the nose.

So, playing a little grab-ass in church, eh? Heh. Not a sport I would have thought of, but my hats off to the guy for his hardcore focus. What a jerk!

Impodobesc? Da, da, clar! Nu esti din Romania sau ce? It's famous, Bogdan. Everyone in Romania gathers around on Friday night or Saturday morning singing Easter carols and decorating the Easter tree.

We're going to have to pass the collection plate and buy you a new mobile phone. One with a camera. You come across some interesting things and I want to see the photos!

Also, what is that stuff about Paşte tree ? Do people really împodobesc them ? :-)

--again, Bogdan (who often forgets to sign or uses strange names like Zeidoros)

BTW, some mall in here had a really *ugly* human-sized bunny sculpture made out of plastic or something. That was the ugliest bunny I have ever seen. He even had a beer belly.

It seems that the people from Bucharest are far less pious than the people from the rest of the country.

I know a girl from Buzău who said that in her town everyone went to church on Sunday. In here, the young people who go to church on Sunday are rather rare.

Actually, I never went to church on Easter, but apparently many Bucharesters belong to the kind of people who go to church only on Easter and Christmas. :-)

Oh and I know a guy from high-school who allegedly went to Easter procession just to touch girls in their private areas: you know, it's crowded, it's night and dark...
